Despite serving one ace and three double faults, Fernandez capitalized on four out of nine break opportunities during the match. On the other hand, Sramkova, who also managed one ace, struggled with seven double faults and converted two of her three break-point chances. Fernandez, hailing from Laval, Quebec, is now set to compete against the winner of the match between Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic and Romania’s Sorana Cirstea in the next round.
