Published:

Five Toronto Blue Jays players have made it to the final stage for the Gold Glove awards this season, which are presented yearly by Major League Baseball to honor the top defensive performers in each position across both leagues. Ernie Clement has been nominated for two awards after being selected as one of the top three contenders in the American League for both third base and utility positions. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ty France, who was acquired by Toronto from Minnesota during the trade deadline, are in the running for the AL’s first-base Gold Glove. Additionally, second baseman Andres Gimenez and catcher Alejandro Kirk have also been named as finalists. Gimenez secured the AL Gold Glove for second base consecutively in the past three seasons while playing for the Cleveland Guardians. Guerrero previously clinched the AL first-base award in 2022. The winners of the Gold Glove awards will be revealed on November 2.
