Smitten shoppers say Primark’s ‘gorgeous’ new £4.50 candles are ‘too cute’ to use. The fashion and home retailer has long been known for its affordable candles, and its latest range is proving a hit.
Candle lovers fell for Primark’s new scented products when a customer shared a viral social media post showing off the new spring range. Posting on TikTok as @Ruthyoungx, the lifestyle blogger showcased her favourite finds from a recent Primark trip. Ruth wrote: “Swipe for some Primark Home gorgeousness.” Her caption added: “Can you even cope with the candles.”
In the video, the shopper filmed several candles. These included a scented candle shaped like a sea shell and various cocktail-themed options, such as strawberry daiquiri and spicy margarita.
There were also cocktail glass candles, with two different scents, each priced at £4.50. Social media users loved the cocktail-themed candles, and the comment section was flooded with praise for the range.
Someone commented: “WHO IS RUNNING THEIR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT I NEED IT ALL.” Another fan said: “Those cocktail candles are everything.” A fan replied: “The way I wouldn’t even burn them as they’re too cute.”
A similar response read: “I love the cocktail candles but I would literally never burn them,” and Ruth replied: “No I bought one just for a prop that’s completely normal.”
Praising the designs, a commenter added: “Okay the cocktail candles have my heart.” Someone else echoed: “Cocktail can candles.” A keen shopper wrote: “Primark trip needed.”

Primark’s product description says: “Designed to look like a classic drink can, it’s made from yellow tinted glass that’s decorated with lemons and daisies and enjoys a refreshing ‘limoncello spritz’ fragrance.”
Alternatively, shoppers looking for fruit or beach-themed candles ready for summer might like a £5 3pk Mini Jar Candles, a £5 Scented Candle In Lemon Shaped Container or an £8 Candle In Hammered Metal Pineapple.
