“Musician Jelly Roll Files for Divorce from Bunnie Xo”

Published:

American musician Jelly Roll, also known as Jason DeFord, has initiated divorce proceedings with his wife, Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord. The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, are parting ways due to irreconcilable differences, as per records from Williamson County, Tennessee court.

Jelly Roll, 41, gained fame for his country rock tracks like “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor.” Despite renewing their vows in 2023, the couple, who do not share any children together, decided to end their marriage. Jelly Roll has two kids from previous relationships.

Bunnie Xo, 46, is the host of the “Dumb Blonde Podcast,” where she engages with personalities from the music and entertainment realms. Additionally, she operates Dumb Blonde Productions and recently released a memoir titled “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” narrating her journey from Vegas trailer parks to Nashville mansions.

Before his music success, Jelly Roll faced legal troubles, including a robbery conviction at 17 and drug-related charges at 23. He discovered his love for music and songwriting while serving time in prison.

Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee granted Jelly Roll a pardon last year, following a recommendation from the state’s parole board, clearing his criminal record. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, where he won the best contemporary country album award for “Beautifully Broken,” Jelly Roll credited his wife for aiding his recovery from past drug addiction.

The couple has previously addressed their relationship challenges publicly. In a podcast interview, Jelly Roll admitted to an affair being a low point in his life, while Bunnie Xo disclosed their breakup in a TikTok post from 2024. As of now, neither has commented on their divorce officially.

On social media, Jelly Roll has been sharing his weight loss journey, whereas Bunnie Xo’s recent post featured her lip-syncing to Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me.”
