Mounties in Burnaby, British Columbia, are seeking assistance in locating an 11-year-old boy who may be with an unfamiliar caregiver. RCMP have provided limited information about Kai Pavlovic’s disappearance but have shared photos of the child to aid in his discovery. Described as five feet tall with a slender frame and brown hair, Pavlovic was the subject of a well-being check request on September 26.
In an update on Thursday, authorities revealed that they suspect Kai is with a caretaker unknown to them and have been unsuccessful in verifying his location. The RCMP have refrained from specifying when the boy was last seen or his neighborhood in Burnaby. Cpl. Laura Hirst emphasized the primary goal of alerting the public about Kai’s disappearance and circulating his image.
Despite ongoing efforts to trace Kai, an Amber Alert has not been issued as the case does not meet the necessary criteria for a child abduction or immediate peril.
