Entering this year’s awards ceremony in Las Vegas with four nominations, including artist of the year and album of the year for his 2021 release “Swag,” Bieber added another accolade to his collection. With this latest victory, Bieber now boasts a total of 19 American Music Awards, putting him on par with the late Kenny Rogers for the second-most wins by a male artist. The record for the most wins by a male artist still belongs to the late Michael Jackson, who holds 24 awards.
Recently, the singer made a triumphant return to the stage at Coachella last month, marking his comeback after canceling a tour in 2022 due to health complications from Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The event showcased Bieber’s resilience and dedication to his craft.
Among the standout winners of the night were BTS, who secured the coveted artist of the year award, and Sabrina Carpenter, who clinched album of the year honors.
