Shohei Ohtani kickstarted the scoring for the Dodgers with a triple in the first inning, followed by a run-scoring double from Mookie Betts. The Brewers managed to tie the game briefly with a Jake Bauers RBI single in the second inning, the only run allowed by Dodgers’ pitcher Tyler Glasnow.
Misiorowski, the hard-throwing rookie, impressed with a record-breaking nine strikeouts for the Brewers. Edman’s clutch hit in the sixth inning gave the Dodgers the lead, while an error from the Brewers’ closer led to another run for Los Angeles.
Glasnow pitched 5 2/3 solid innings, allowing only three hits and three walks while striking out eight. The Dodgers’ bullpen continued their strong performance, limiting the Brewers to just one hit over 3 1/3 innings.
Milwaukee, despite dominating the Dodgers in the regular season, has struggled on the road in the postseason, losing their last 10 away games. The Dodgers’ pitching staff has been exceptional, allowing minimal runs and hits in the series.
Next up, Ohtani will make his second postseason start, looking to build on his impressive performance in the NL Division Series. The two-way star has been a key contributor for the Dodgers, both on the mound and at the plate.
