In 2024, an Irish civil court found McGregor responsible for a 2018 Dublin party sexual assault, ordering him to compensate the victim, Nikita Hand, with 250,000 euros. McGregor refuted the assault claims, with subsequent appeals also dismissed. Prosecutors opted against criminal charges due to insufficient evidence and low conviction prospects.
A paramedic who examined Hand testified to the severity of her bruising, noting it as unusually intense.
Christina Ricci, known for roles in films like The Addams Family and Monster, reposted an Instagram story questioning McGregor’s appearance on the show.
The post, shared by entrepreneur Adam McRae, detailed McGregor’s alleged assault on a woman, criticizing Fallon for giving McGregor a platform despite the accusations.
Representatives for Ricci and Fallon have not responded to requests for comments.
McGregor’s Return to UFC
McGregor, a former UFC champion, is set to return to the octagon for a fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329 on July 11, marking his first fight since 2021. McGregor recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his comeback bout.
During the interview, McGregor and Fallon discussed various topics, including personal anecdotes and achievements within the UFC, but avoided addressing McGregor’s past controversies outside the ring.
Apart from the 2018 incident, McGregor also faced sexual assault allegations at a Miami Heat game in 2023, alongside other assault accusations.
McGregor, who previously expressed political aspirations, withdrew from a presidential run in 2025 due to poor polling. His most recent acting venture was in the 2024 film remake of Road House.
In his interview, McGregor emphasized his passion for fighting and his dedication to the sport.
