Singer D4vd Faces Grand Jury Probe in Connection with Teen’s Death

Los Angeles County authorities are investigating singer D4vd, born David Burke, in relation to the death of a 14-year-old girl whose remains were discovered in a Tesla linked to him. The investigation, targeting the 20-year-old alt-pop artist, was revealed through court documents seeking testimonies from three of his relatives.

The Tesla, registered under D4vd’s name at his family members’ address, was found abandoned in Hollywood Hills with the decomposed body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez inside. The girl, reported missing in 2024 from Lake Elsinore, was identified from the investigation as being 14 years old at the time of her death.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, authorities found a cadaver bag containing the girl’s severed body parts. Despite not being publicly named as a suspect, D4vd faced consequences as shows were cancelled following the grim discovery. The singer’s representatives have refrained from commenting on the case, and the District Attorney’s Office has declined to provide further details.

As the investigation unfolds, the singer’s involvement in the case has raised questions, leading to the cancellation of his concerts and tour engagements. The circumstances surrounding the girl’s death remain undisclosed, with authorities keeping a tight lid on the case. D4vd, known for his music blending indie rock, R&B, and lo-fi pop, had garnered fame among Gen Z audiences before the tragic incident came to light.
