“Old Dutch Foods Recalls Ridgies Chips Over Undeclared Milk”

Published:

Old Dutch Foods has initiated a recall of a particular variety of Ridgies chips due to the presence of an undeclared milk allergen. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall notice for Ridgies Sour Cream, Green Onion & Bacon Flavour Potato Chips as they may contain milk allergens that are not listed on the packaging.

The CFIA advises consumers to refrain from using, selling, serving, or distributing the affected product. The recall pertains to the 200-gram size products. Classified as a “Class 2” recall, the CFIA warns that there is a moderate risk associated with consuming the chips, which could result in short-term or non-life-threatening health issues.

The impacted products were distributed in various regions including Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and potentially other provinces and territories. Consumers are urged to check the best before codes on the packaging, which include 2025 NO 06, 2025 NO 07, 2025 NO 13, 2025 NO 24, 2025 NO 25, and 2025 NO 26.
