FIFA has introduced the official mascots for the 2026 World Cup, with Maple the Moose representing Canada, Zayu the Jaguar for Mexico, and Clutch the Bald Eagle for the United States. The trio, chosen to embody the spirit of unity and diversity, will add joy and energy to the upcoming tournament scheduled from June 11 to July 19 in 16 host cities, including Toronto and Vancouver.

Maple the Moose, known for its fun-loving and well-travelled nature, symbolizes Canada’s culture and heritage by connecting with people across the country. Zayu the Jaguar from Mexico showcases exceptional agility and ingenuity on the pitch while embracing Mexican traditions off the field. Clutch the Bald Eagle, representing the U.S., embodies curiosity, optimism, and a unifying spirit that transcends cultural boundaries.

The mascots have been creatively developed to reflect the vibrant essence of their respective countries, capturing the passion for the beautiful game. Maple, in particular, is described as a street style-loving artist, music enthusiast, and a dedicated goalkeeper with a heart full of strength and leadership.

In addition to their symbolic roles, the mascots will be featured in a FIFA-licensed video game titled “FIFA Heroes,” set to launch next year. The game promises arcade-style, fast-paced football action with a touch of fantasy elements.

The unveiling of these mascots adds an exciting dimension to the upcoming 2026 World Cup, highlighting the cultural significance and unity shared among the host nations.
