Actor Josh Hartnett was reportedly involved in a car accident in St. John’s, N.L., on September 25. The incident occurred when the SUV he was a passenger in collided with a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) patrol vehicle. Hartnett, who was in the city for a Netflix show filming, was on his way home from the set when the accident happened. The RNC confirmed the collision, which took place at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue around 1 a.m.
Both Hartnett and another individual in the vehicle, a 59-year-old man, sustained what appeared to be minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The police officer involved in the crash also received medical attention as a precaution. Authorities are seeking witnesses and any footage of the collision to aid in their investigation.
Hartnett is currently part of the cast of an upcoming series tentatively titled “Untitled Netflix Newfoundland Series,” where he plays a fisherman defending his community from a sea creature’s threats in a remote town. The show features actors like Charlie Heaton from “Stranger Things” and Mackenzie Davis from “Speak No Evil.”
