During regular sittings of the House, question period occurs from Monday to Thursday between 2:15-3 p.m. ET and on Fridays from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. The Leader of the Opposition initiates the questioning, and all questions are directed through the Speaker. Typically, the Prime Minister responds solely to the questions posed by the leaders.
