A portion of a human body was discovered on Sunday afternoon in the Rivières-des-Prairies area of Montreal-Nord. Radio-Canada has verified that the body part belonged to a man. Authorities from the Montreal police have stated that the man’s demise was not due to criminal activities. Following a report received around 3 p.m., law enforcement officers found a lifeless human body part on the riverbank near Drapeau Avenue, in close proximity to the Pie-IX Bridge. A security cordon was established on that day, and an investigative team was dispatched, as mentioned by spokesperson Julien Lévesque. Divers are scheduled to resume their search in the water on Tuesday to locate the remains of the 40-year-old individual.
