Moose Collision Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash

Multiple vehicles collided with a moose on the Trans-Canada Highway close to Port Blandford late Thursday. According to a statement from the RCMP on Friday, a moose was initially hit and killed by a tractor trailer, followed by three pickup trucks traveling in the same direction colliding with the remains. Responding to the incident just past 9:00 p.m. N.T., authorities from Clarenville found one of the vehicles overturned and located down an embankment. Although no injuries were reported, the RCMP is urging drivers to stay vigilant for moose on the roads in the province.
