“William Shatner Sets Record Straight on Health Rumors”

Published:

William Shatner has reassured fans about his well-being, emphasizing that he is in good health. The Canadian actor took to social media to address rumors regarding his condition that arose after reports suggested he had been hospitalized.

In an Instagram caption, Shatner clarified, “I overindulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: Don’t trust tabloids or AI!” Accompanied by a photo of himself looking dapper in a suit, the post humorously states, “Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated!” – a playful nod to Mark Twain’s famous quote.

Earlier, TMZ had reported that the 94-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital due to a blood sugar issue. However, Shatner’s agent later confirmed his quick release on the same day. The news spread to various media outlets, sparking concern among fans.

Shatner, renowned for his role as Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series and movies, has remained active in the entertainment industry despite his age. He recently starred in the romantic comedy Senior Moment and featured in the documentary You Can Call Me Bill, which delves into his illustrious career.

Notably, Shatner made headlines for embarking on a 10-minute space journey aboard Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin at the age of 91, setting a record as the oldest person to venture into space.
