A member of the Canadian Armed Forces deployed in Latvia has been reported missing since Tuesday, according to the Department of National Defence. Warrant Officer George Hohl, a vehicle technician from 408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in Edmonton, is the subject of ongoing search efforts. Lt.-Gen. Steve Boivin confirmed that Hohl, part of the aviation battalion with the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia, was last seen in Adazi.
Latvian police, supported by the Canadian Forces Military Police and the NATO Multinational Brigade, are actively searching for Hohl. Details are being withheld to protect the family’s privacy and the integrity of the investigation. Hohl’s next of kin has been informed and is receiving assistance during this time.
