“Man Arrested for Assaulting Police at ‘Queen of Canada’ Compound”

Published:

RCMP officials have reported that a man has been arrested for assaulting two police officers in a village in southwestern Saskatchewan, where followers of the self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada” have established a compound. The incident took place in Richmound, located approximately 360 kilometers west of Regina near the Alberta border.

The accused, identified as 61-year-old Ricky Manz, is facing charges of assault, resisting arrest, and making threats. Manz is the proprietor of the former village school, which has been serving as the base for Romana Didulo’s group, known as the “Kingdom of Canada,” for almost two years. A court appearance for Manz is scheduled for September 18.

Romana Didulo, who refers to herself as the “Queen of Canada,” is recognized for promoting various conspiracy theories, leading to disruptions among local residents. Recent developments have led the village office to restrict public access, allowing entry only by pre-arranged appointments due to reported incidents of harassment and intimidation directed towards the staff.
