“Olivia Rodrigo Launches Daisy Chain Fields Music Fest”

Published:

Olivia Rodrigo draws inspiration from Lilith Fair as she announces her own music festival, Daisy Chain Fields. Similar to the iconic all-women touring festival founded by Sarah McLachlan, Rodrigo’s event will showcase a lineup entirely composed of female artists. Expressing her excitement on Instagram, the Grammy winner shared her long-held dream of creating this festival, which is set to take place on August 29 in Irvine, California.

Apart from Rodrigo, the festival will feature performances by artists such as Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Not for Radio. Special guests for the event include McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Karen O.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Rodrigo revealed her intention for the festival to address societal issues and promote diverse lineups, drawing parallels to the original Lilith Fair’s mission. She emphasized the importance of artists using their platforms to advocate for change and equality.

Olivia Rodrigo, who appeared in the 2025 documentary “Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery,” expressed admiration for the ’90s female singer-songwriters who performed at the original festival. Describing them as her guiding stars, she acknowledged the impact of Lilith Fair on the music industry.

In the festival’s social media announcement, Rodrigo described Daisy Chain Fields as a platform fostering joy, community, and creativity to drive meaningful change. All net proceeds from the event will be donated to charitable organizations supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.

Fans of Rodrigo can participate in the presale for tickets, with general admission starting at $250 US. The announcement comes following Rodrigo’s third consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard charts with “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” adding to her successful debut and subsequent releases.
