Hosted by Damhnait Doyle and Odario Williams on March 28, the 2026 Juno Awards Gala saw the presentation of 47 awards, with notable wins and several debut victors. Daniel Caesar, a Toronto R&B singer, secured the songwriter of the year award, surpassing Bieber, Tate McRae, the Beaches, and Jessie Reyez.
Aysanabee, a recipient of the alternative album of the year and contemporary Indigenous artist of the year awards, expressed gratitude to his female team during his acceptance speech. The band Billy Talent was honored with the Humanitarian Award for their charitable endeavors over the past 25 years.
The Beaches won the rock album of the year, while Sadboi claimed the rap album/EP of the year. Additionally, several artists such as Kazdoura, Aaron Paris, and Debby Friday received their first Juno Awards in various categories.
Karena Evans, a Toronto-born filmmaker, won the music video of the year award. Saukrates, after 30 years and four nominations, secured his first Juno for rap single of the year. Maestro Fresh Wes, a legendary figure in the Canadian music scene, won the children’s album of the year award.
