“Hamilton Resident Aoife Wins Stage Name Spotlight at Supercrawl”

Published:

Aoife, a resident of Hamilton for over a decade, expressed her excitement for Supercrawl, an event she never misses. This year, the musician is thrilled to see her stage name on the festival poster. She emerged victorious in the festival’s battle of the bands, Road to Supercrawl, securing a coveted recording session at Grant Avenue Studio, the event organizer, and a prime spot to perform on the main stage.

Aoife was among numerous artists showcasing their talents at Supercrawl on Saturday. The annual arts festival in Hamilton spans along James Street N., which was closed to traffic prior to the event. Thousands of attendees flocked to the festival to revel in music, art, food, and browse through a diverse range of vendors.

Reflecting on the festival’s appeal, Aoife remarked, “It’s perfect for anyone – a vendor looking to showcase their creations or a musician eager to share their compositions.”

The festival also attracted entrepreneurs like Marion Rabeau from Bandit Pottery, who traveled from Burlington for the second consecutive year. Rabeau highlighted the satisfaction of engaging with customers in person and the positive impact on the local economy by drawing crowds to the downtown area.

Rachel Yang brought her visiting grandmother from China and her mother to experience Supercrawl for the first time. Yang shared that her grandmother particularly enjoyed watching acrobats perform at the festival.

Interactive art installations, like the one near the armoury, were a hit among families and children at Supercrawl. CBC Hamilton actively participated in the event, inviting attendees to test their trivia knowledge at their booth on James Street N. and Wilson Street.

Supercrawl not only showcased a vibrant display of talent and creativity but also fostered community engagement and economic vitality in the local area.
