The offspring of renowned Hollywood actor and director Rob Reiner faced accusations of murdering his parents, who were discovered deceased in their residence in Los Angeles over the weekend, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department on Monday. Nick Reiner, aged 32, was apprehended on Sunday evening and is presently in custody without the option of bail, as stated by the police department in an official announcement. Initial jail records indicated a bail amount of $4 million US. The bodies of Rob Reiner, aged 78, acclaimed director of iconic films like “When Harry Met Sally…” and his spouse Michele, aged 70, were found lifeless in their home located in the affluent Brentwood district of Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon.
According to the LAPD, their inquiries concluded that the Reiners were victims of a homicide, and their son was identified as the perpetrator responsible for their tragic demise. Nick Reiner was detained later on Sunday night. Rob Reiner, son of comedy legend Carl Reiner, had been wedded to Michele, a photographer, since 1989. The couple first met during the production of “When Harry Met Sally…” and shared three children together. Michele Reiner, known for her photography work, notably captured the image of Donald Trump featured on the cover of his book “Trump: The Art of the Deal.”
