Initial reports suggest that both individuals sustained stab wounds, and authorities are currently questioning a family member. According to People magazine, the individual under scrutiny is the couple’s son, Nick.
Los Angeles Police Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton stated during a briefing on Sunday evening that they are actively seeking information from every family member to uncover the truth surrounding the case.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical emergency call around 3:30 p.m. and discovered the lifeless bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman inside the residence. Reiner, a renowned director in Hollywood, is celebrated for his notable works in the 1980s and ’90s, including iconic films such as “This is Spinal Tap,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “The Princess Bride.”
